Group classes are taught in English/German. You can also request another language for Private Sessions.
Try the Wheel: Experience Workshop
Wheel Throwing is a fascinating experience - we use our bodies from feet to fingertips, as clay changes shape in our hands. The first time can be frustrating or fun, depending on how you approach it. This process-oriented course is designed for people who would like to try out the wheel in a relaxed atmosphere, but are not yet ready to commit to a full Beginning Wheel Course.
Please Note: This is a Try-Out session, aimed at having an experience with the material. More professional techniques, like trimming and glazing cannot be covered in this course. Material and Firing costs are not included in the price, as we don’t keep or fire any of your Try-Out pieces. If you get lucky that one of your pieces survives, AND you desperately cannot part with it, you can pay an extra fee in Cash at the end of class (Glaze firing with glossy transparent: €10,00 per piece or Bisque firing: €5,00 per piece).
If you already know you’re ready to deep-dive into the world of wheel-throwing, you can learn the professional techniques in a Beginning Wheel Course or Private Session. If you already took a beginner course, but want to refresh your skills, we recommend our Throwing Lab: Basic. If you already have experience working independently on the wheel, we recommend our Throwing Lab: Intermediate, or an Intermediate course.
