Throwing Lab: Refresh

Already had a beginner’s course and want to feel more comfortable with the skills you learned? Refresh your memory and review techniques such as: centering, pulling up walls, body positioning, wheel speed, and general understanding of the process. Each of these guided sessions serves as a bridge toward a more independent practice.

Already comfortable with the basics but want to learn new tricks? You can focus on bigger/taller forms⁠, throwing on the hump,⁠ double-walled forms, lids, trimming on a chuck, pulling handles, avoiding cracks in plates, & more!

We tailor your specific interests. Guidence is based on students' requests.

*Please note: to practice Trimming, students must come prepared with a leather-hard piece.

Not for absolute beginners. This is a process-oriented course. Firing fee not included in price. Students can finish their work independently during Studio Time or book a Follow-up Private Session.
