Throwing on the potter’s wheel: Experience the meditative and challenging process of wheel-throwing, which requires strength, concentration, and letting go.
Handbuilding: Learn simple hand techniques to create a small object like a mug, vase, or soap dish. This is intuitive, playful, and allows for conversation while being hands-on. You can also apply engobes (colored pigments) to your freshly built pieces.
-
The TASTER-Event is a 2-in-1 experience lasting 2.5 hours. Groups will switch techniques after an hour, ensuring everyone gets hands-on experience with both wheel-throwing and handbuilding.
-
Participants can choose to color their pieces with engobes (colored pigment for wet clay) or have the studio glaze them later with a glossy transparent glaze.
