Group classes are taught in English/German. You can also request another language for Private Sessions.

Intermediate Handbuilding

Project-oriented ideas are developed in this class by thinking structurally, strategizing, scaling up, building lighter, and trouble-shooting. We start with wet-clay and follow into the leather-hard state, learning to work with drying rates of various clay bodies. Students bring sketches or reference materials as starting points for idea-mapping desired forms.

Course size: 3 - 6 Students

Course Length: 2 Handbuilding sessions @ 2,5 hours = 5 hours.

This class is for students who have already taken an Intro to Handbuilding class or have relevant Handbuilding experience. Firing fee is not included in class price. Finished pieces are weighed and calculated at our studio rate before firing.
