Beginning Wheel: Cylinders and Bowls

Learn the basics of throwing clay on the potter’s wheel. Enjoy the rewards & challenges of throwing cylinders & bowls, trimming feet, and glazing. 

Course length: 4 weekly sessions. (Finished work can be picked up approximately one week after the final session).  

Cost: €165 + 3.5% processing fee (All materials, tools, & firing included). 

Class Duration: 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Level 2 Wheel: Plates, Bottles, and Surfaces

Improve your skills on the potter’s wheel by learning to throw Vase/Bottle Forms & Plates. Refine your trimming skills, and try some new surface techniques such as clay marbelizing, Wax Resist, or Engobe Texturing.  

Please note: Independent wheel experience for several months prior to the course is recommended. Basic techniques such as centering, pulling, and glazing will not be covered. 

Course length: 3 weekly sessions + flexible glaze session (Finished work can be picked up approximately one week after the final session).  

Cost: €140,00  + 3.5% processing fee (All materials, tools, & firing included). 

Class Duration: 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Level 3 Wheel: Lidded Forms, Handles, and Spouts

Learn how to use the potter’s wheel to throw Lidded Forms and to assemble various parts that fit together, such as: Jars, Teapots, Mugs, or Pitchers.  Learn to pull Handles & make different kinds of Spouts.

**Independent wheel experience is recommended prior to the course. Basic techniques will not be covered. 

Course length: 3 weekly sessions + flexible glaze session (Finished work can be picked up approximately one week after the final session).

Intro to Handbuilding

Embrace the imperfections and irregularities of handbuilding. Learn basic techniques including slab building, pinching and coiling to create unique forms. Explore surface techniques such as texturing & engobe decorating. 

Cost: €75,00 + 3.5% processing fee  (All materials tools, glazing & firing included). 

2 Class Sessions: 3 hours handbuilding, + flexible glaze class (Finished work can be picked up approximately one week after the final session).
